This Paddington project involved the extension and enhancement of a character-filled terrace home. While rich in charm, the residence required thoughtful reconfiguration to better support modern living and accommodate the client’s evolving needs.
We were engaged to deliver a rear extension, add an additional room to the second level, and complete a full attic conversion. The home’s generous original ceiling heights allowed us to carefully lower ceilings in selected areas without compromising the home’s proportions or character, creating a fully habitable attic space. This new level was seamlessly integrated and utilised as an additional bedroom and home office.
These works significantly increased the functionality and overall value of the property, particularly through the increase in bedroom count—an important consideration for inner-city homes.
The client, a highly regarded interior designer, brought a strong design vision to the project. As such, every detail was meticulously planned and executed, with finishes constructed to reflect an exceptional standard of craftsmanship and a shared commitment to design excellence.
